Majoring in Health Technology with a minor in Machine Learning and NLP, I focused on biosignal acquisition and analysis, programming health wearables, applying ML to health data, and leveraging deep learning for human language technologies. My thesis focuses on implementing a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system for biomedical literature, enabling clinical researchers to retrieve and summarize papers with DOIs and visualize relevant open biosignal datasets.

Focused on Software Design and Architecture and Quality Assurance with a minor in Artificial Intelligence. My thesis was basically a Raspberry Pi-based navigation system for visually impaired users, featuring YOLOv3 object and currency detection, text-to-speech guidance, and a companion mobile app for guardian monitoring

Research Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Develop LLM-based RAG systems for clinical research using multilingual models (e.g., EuroLLM-9B-Instruct) and vector databases (PGVector, FAISS, Chroma) for embedding generation and similarity search.
• Build and optimize ML classifiers (e.g., Random Forest, XGBoost, Logistic Regression) for Hospital Acquired Infection detection, collaborating with hospital nurses and clinical staff to validate models and workflows.

Biomedical AI Trainee (ML & NLP)

Key Responsibilities

• Designed and implemented an AI-powered search assistant for biomedical research and clinical data using hybrid semantic and keyword search, with fine-tuned embeddings (OpenAI ADA, BioBERT, Sentence-BERT).
• Built a Streamlit frontend prototype enabling interactive access to the search assistant and embedding visualizations for clinical researchers.
